After getting assigned randomly to another student in the class, this hardworking student was determined to follow the prompt and work together on their project. However, the slacker had other ideas—and clearly other, more important plans—that kept them from showing up to any group project meetings, contributing anything to the course, and even texting back when their partner became concerned. Fine, you don't want to help on this project? It's not going to do itself, so this diligent student did the project themselves, crediting their solo effort on the final product right in front of the professor.

Group projects in college are supposed to teach students how to work in a team with another person, but what they truly teach us is to resent the slackers/freeloaders of the group. Funnily enough, this is a life lesson that will follow us forevermore in the workplace, with family, and in our friendships, but this college student wasn't ready for a crash course in loser partners for their first 2-person project.
